迈克尔·欧文, 作为职业高尔夫教练，曾几度和20多名PGA职业球手共事，其中就包括John Daly, Rich Beem, Pat Perez, Phillip Price, Robert Gamez, Ian Leggatt, Todd Fischer, and Jason Gore.
Through his many successes as a teacher, Owen has had the opportunity work with and create a total of 20 PGA Tour Professionals including the likes of John Daly, Rich Beem, Pat Perez, Phillip Price, Robert Gamez, Ian Leggatt, Todd Fischer, and Jason Gore.

壹与观澜湖的前缘

2012年，迈克尔成为观澜湖高尔夫学院精英教练以及教练培训师。2014年见证了迈克尔·欧文学校在海口观澜湖的成立。
In 2012 he became the Elite Instructor and Coaches' Trainer for the Mission Hills Golf Group. 2014 has saw the opening of the Michael Owen Golf School in Hainan, China.

Let’s have a look at story Michael share to us which relevant to the loft the iron.
INTERESTING INFO......IRON LOFT

过去30年左右，有多种增加击球距离的方法。无论是一号木还是铁杆，击球距离都比较远。而今，高尔夫公司将球杆的杆面倾角改小，这样球就会飞得更低更有力。
下面这个表格说明了杆面倾角的调整
In the last 30 years or so, much has been made about the increase in distance that has occurred. Golfers are hitting the ball much further with both their Driver and irons. During this period golf companies have changed the loft of the irons by making them stronger (with less loft) so the ball will obviously go lower and longer.
The table below shows just how much these lofts have changed.

1965年，7号铁的倾角是38度左右，2010年，同样的7号铁变成了34度，现在，7号铁只有30度左右。
这样调整角度之后可能会增加击球距离，当然，由于角度变小，长铁也会变得更加难打。

In 1965 a 7 iron had approximately 38 degrees of loft, in 2010 that same 7 iron had 34 degrees and today that loft is around 30 degrees.
This change in loft might make the ball go further but it will make the long irons more difficult to hit due to the lack of loft.

This is the first part of the learning experience and where all the fundamentals are taught. Being successful at golf requires sound knowledge of all basics such as Grip, Posture and Alignment.
Fully understanding these makes swinging the golf club and playing the game at higher levels much easier.

Once the golfer has a sound grasp of the fundamentals then it is time to move to the silver level and take these fundamentals to the golf course. Playing golf requires good strategy as well as a sound decision making process. All golfers must have the ability to adapt to the ever changing situations on the course.
一旦基本功打牢，就进入银的阶段。这个阶段需要将基本功运用到球场。球场攻略和理性思考是下场时必需技能。高尔夫球手一定要具备应对以不变应万变的球场对应能力。

Being successful at the tournament level requires not only just physical ability but also mental strength to enable the golfer to achieve peak performance under the highest pressure situations. Correct preparation before the tournament is a must to make this level achievable. Any weaknesses in fundamentals or course strategy will be exposed at the gold level.
