12月29号星期二，首届观澜湖业余高尔夫挑战赛在深圳艾斯球场落下帷幕。比赛由观澜湖高尔夫学院举办，之后将成为观澜湖的年度赛事。此次比赛采取引人入胜的四人四球赛的形式，由亚洲2名顶尖球手对战欧洲的2名顶尖球手。
Tuesday 29th December saw the first installment of the Mission Hills Amateur Golf Challenge, a new contest created to be played annually at Mission Hills China, organized by Mission Hills Golf Academies. Played on the Els Course at Shenzhen, the challenge featured 2 top amateurs from Asia take on 2 top amateurs from Europe in an enthralling Four-Ball-Better-Ball format.

欧洲队
杰克·麦当唐纳，苏格兰。2015年沃克杯冠军队成员，在高尔夫业余球手中排名第38名。
奥利弗·罗伯茨，英格兰。香港业余球手排名第一，师从自己的父亲—观澜湖集团执行董事及PGA职业大师教练罗志显。

Oliver Roberts, England. Hong Kong no.1 Amateur player, son and student of Mission Hills Executive Director and Master PGA Professional, Iain Roberts.

张俊斌，中国。观澜湖青少年球队成员，2015年中国业余公开赛亚军，师从观澜湖高尔夫学院精英教练­—侯保罗。
陈奕龙，中国。2015年费度系列赛中国锦标赛(16岁以下男子组)冠军，2015年海南公开赛冠军。

Andy Zhang,China. Member of Mission Hills Junior Team, 2nd place finisher at the 2015 China Amateur Open, and student of Mission Hills Golf Academies Elite Instructor, Paul Hoad.
Chen YiLong,China. Boys under-16 Winner of 2015 Faldo Series China Championship, and Champion of 2015 Hainan Open.

上午8点开球，欧洲队旗开得胜。奥利弗·罗伯茨在第2洞和第3洞连续抓鸟以2洞领先。在前九洞结束之际，欧洲队以3洞优势领先。
The European team favoured the early 8am tee time, with Roberts making birdies on holes 2 and 3 to go 2-up. After 9 holes of close battling, team Europe remained 3-up.


张俊斌在后九洞奋力追击，抓鸟6只，戏剧性地扭转了比赛局势。前16洞，比分追平。
Some fantastic golf from Andy Zhang on the back 9, who manufactured 6 birdies, ensured a dramatic finish.Through 16 holes, the score had been brought back to all square.


在风景如画的17洞，190码的过水3杆洞，双方抓鸟打成平局。罗伯茨拿下了35英尺的长推，在仅剩一洞的危急关头力挽狂澜再次打成平局。
On the picturesque 17th hole, a190 yard par 3 over water, the hole was halved in birdies with Roberts holing a 35 foot putt to stop Team Europe going 1-down with one hole to play.

在最后的18洞，张俊斌一如既往稳定发挥。球在离洞8英尺的地方停住，给自己留下小鸟推的机会。但是，欧洲队并没有被这一局面威慑住。在离洞35英尺的地方，杰克展现出了沃克杯冠军队成员的风范，顶住压力成功拿下了小鸟推。这也就意味着要想打成平局，张俊斌必须一杆推进。遗憾的是，一个涮边球给了欧洲队胜利的机会，让欧洲队一举摘得2015年首届观澜湖业余高尔夫挑战赛桂冠。
On the final 18th hole, Zhang continued his run of form and stuck his approach shot to leave an 8 foot birdie putt. However, Team Europe weren’t deterred as McDonald showed his experience as a winning Walker Cup team member, holding his nerves under pressure by holing out his 35 foot birdie putt, forcing Zhang to hole out to halve the match. An unfortunate lip-out meant that Team Europe were left victorious, champions of the first ever Mission Hills Amateur Golf Challenge 2015!
