★ 高尔夫球技大比拼 ★

本周星期三上午，20名学生受邀参加了柏朗思观澜湖学校联合PGA学院组织的高尔夫球赛。赛事在观澜湖集团张连伟3杆洞球场举行。天气明媚，球手打了9个洞。


本次赛事的主要目的是为了给本学年参加高尔夫晋升班和高尔夫俱乐部的学生们一个展示的舞台。


20名学生展露出不俗的球技，精彩纷呈，跟拍老师直呼镜头不够用，尤其是在发球台上。孩子们的远球能力很强。

Wednesday Morning, twenty students were invited to take part in an invitational BMH golf tournament. The event took place at Zhanglianwei Course, Mission Hills on the par 3 course. The competitors played 9 holes in good, dry conditions. The main purpose of the event was to showcase the golfing talent from the students who have been part of the Ascenders and Golf Club programmes this year.


The standard of play from all 20 students was very good. There were some spectacular shots especially from the tee. The childrens’ long game was very strong.

每位参赛学生都展示了优秀的运动员风貌和体育精神。看到孩子们能够喜笑颜开地参加比赛，享受高尔夫本身的乐趣，运动于生命的意义不言而喻。

Everyone who took part competed in the right spirit and showed excellent sportsmanship. It was great to see the children smiling and enjoying themselves.

有些孩子取得了非常优异的成绩，8个学生突破了40杆。9个3杆洞能够检验高尔夫技术的每个方面。短杆需要有很好的状态，才能够确保你以接近标准3杆的成绩完成球洞。很多球手的长杆表现非常好，但是部分选手比赛时推杆手感不佳，比理想中推多了几杆。

The scores achieved by a number of children were very impressive with 8 students breaking 40. Playing nine consecutive par 3 holes examines every part of your golf game. You need to be on top of your short game to ensure you complete each hole as close to a par score of 3. Whilst the long game of many of the students was very good, a few of them had a cold putter, taking a few more putts than they would have liked.

本次高尔夫邀请赛的冠军是目前高尔夫晋升班的学员，杨谨泽（4B班）同学。他以3杆领先于第二名选手。杨谨泽以31杆的成绩完成了9洞球。球技精湛，令人叹为观止！


从下图可以看出他标准的姿势和全神贯注的神情。在旁观战的教练感叹到，他的前途不可限量。

The overall winner of the invitational event was a current Ascender programme member, James Yang (P4B) who secured a 3 shot victory over his nearest challenger. James completed the 9 holes in an exceptional 31 shots. Well done James!


He can be seen below showing great poise and concentration. He has a great future ahead of him.

杨谨泽本学年取得了很大进步，过去一整个学年他都一直在参加PGA晋升班的课程。高尔夫是一项需要全身心经常练习的活动。PGA学院提供专业的教练指导和教学设施，通过学校的晋升班或高尔夫俱乐部课程都可以实现。以上两个课程在9月份将再次开启，学校将发出邀请信邀请广大学员报名参与。

James has made significant progress this year, attending the PGA Ascenders programme for the past two terms. Golf is very much a sport which rewards commitment and regular practise. The PGA provide excellent coaching and facilities, which can be accessed by attending either the school’s Ascender or Golf Club programme. Both these programmes will start again in September with places offered by invitation letter from the school. Some of this year’s participants in the Ascenders programme can be seen here in a short video sharing some of their feedback.

回顾昨天比赛的结果， 分数非常接近，继杨谨泽之后，来自柏朗思观澜湖学校的选手邓傲轩（5A班）和张贝易 （6A班）也都以卓越的球技，以34杆的成绩完成了比赛，并列第二。在场的教练及老师都非常骄傲，为他们点赞！

Back to the results yesterday and it turned out to be a very close contest for second place, behind James. Mars Deng (P5A) and Anna Zhang (P6A) played very well to both achieve a score of 34 shots to finished joint 2nd. Well done to both of them.

排名相对于靠前的球员是年纪相对较小的雷一乔(3B班)，她打9洞用了36杆。这是当天第四高的分数。雷一乔在比赛中打了几个很棒的救球。她目前也是高尔夫晋升班中的一名学员。

The youngest player to secure a high placed finish was Tammy Lei (P3B) who completed the 9 holes in 36 shots. This was the 4th best score on the day. Tammy played several great recovery shots in her round. She is also a current Ascender programme member.



明年，学校将与PGA学院合作延长晋升班项目至整个学年，从9月份开始到7月份结束。这也将保证孩子的高尔夫发展达到最大化。学校将在本周结束前向学生发出邀请来参加9月份开始的高尔夫课程。柏朗思观澜湖学校和PGA学院的合作也将继续强化。


星期三的比赛进一步验证了双方合作的成果，我们期待来年继续合作。

Next year the school in partnership with the PGA is expanding the Ascender programme across the whole school year, starting in September and finishing in July. This will ensure the children’s golf development is maximised. The school is sending invitation letters out at the end of this week inviting students to take part in the programmes from September. The partnership between Bromsgrove Mission Hills and the PGA continues to go from strength to strength. The competition on

is further proof of the great work they are doing and we look forward to continuing our partnership next year.

柏朗思观澜湖学校是热爱高尔夫运动的孩子或对学习高尔夫有兴趣的孩子的绝佳选择。近几个月，学校改善了教学场地，加强了高尔夫设施建设。在学校自有的场地上，新增加了高尔夫练习场和足球高尔夫场地(对较小的孩子而言是体验这项运动的绝佳场所)！

Bromsgrove School Mission Hills is the perfect choice for children passionate about golf or young children interested in learning the game. In recent months the school has improved its facilities with enhanced golf provision. New driving range bays have been added on the school site alongside a new Footgolf course (perfect as an introduction to the game for younger children).
