To help you improve your game around the green and improve your basic pitching technique, here are some important points to focus on.

好的劈起球技术始于正确的准备动作。但我们常见的错误往往就出现在准备动作中，例如杆身过度前倾以及杆面方正。因为杆身前倾通常会降低杆面前沿，导致击球时挖地，并且杆身前倾还会减少杆面角度，这样就很难打出又高落地又轻的球，而这种短劈起球恰巧就是我们在果岭边想要的。

A good pitching technique starts with the right set up and common mistakes we see are too much forward shaft lean and a square club face at set up. Leaning the shaft towards the target lowers the leading edge of the club encouraging it to dig into the ground through impact. Forward shaft lean also reduces the loft of the club and makes it more difficult to hit the high-flying and soft-landing shots we usually want for short pitch shots around the green.

How to fix it ?

在短距离劈起球的准备动作中，站位最好窄一点，球位放在中间靠左。把球杆放在球后时，稍微转动握把打开杆面，保持杆身直立，不要往前倾也不要往后倒。

A better way to set up for a short pitch is to take a narrow stance and position the ball to the left of the center of your feet. Now, when you place the club behind the ball, twist the grip slightly to open the club face and keep the shaft vertical so there is no forward or backward shaft lean.

这个动作会有助于你利用球杆的反弹角，充分利用反弹角打出来的高劈起球，不仅落地轻而且停球快。

This position will help you to use the bounce of the club correctly and provides plenty of loft to help you hit nice high pitch shots that will land soft and stop quickly.

谈到短距离劈起球的基本挥杆动作时，你要注意的就是挥杆的宽度，试着在上、下杆以及送杆时保持杆柄底部与身体的距离一致。想要在送杆时做到这一点，就需要左手腕在送杆时反曲或反弓形成杯状，来让左手臂向上曲折。

When it comes to the swing for a basic short pitch shot you want to focus on the width of the swing. Try to maintain the same gap between the end of the grip and your body throughout the backswing, downswing and follow through. To do this on the follow through you will need to extend or cup your left wrist and allow your left arm to fold.
